Charlie and Kathy Stories

Charlie and Kathy are a couple living in Michigan, loosely based on yours truly and his wife.  Charlie is a little simpler than he thinks he is, and Kathy is a little more patient than she ought to be.  Charlie has written down, with Kathy’s permission, a few of the maybe-imaginary things that have happened to them and published them in books that friends and strangers can buy on the Internet.  Neither Charlie nor Kathy understands why Kathy has allowed this to happen.

Burning Embers and Other Stories of Marriage, Work, and Family

The complete collection of Charlie and Kathy stories, including stories not published in any other Charlie and Kathy ebook.

When Charlie discovered that he was not going to become rich working at a Seattle dot-com company, his wife Kathy knew just what to do: move away from the land of rain and lattes back to her home state of Michigan. Charlie agreed, and off they went.

But it wasn’t easy. New family, new work, and new surroundings confused and delighted Charlie, and to cope with it all he began to write letters to friends back home. That’s where Burning Embers started, and from there it grew into a collection of comic and sometimes poignant stories of a husband and wife trying to make a marriage, career, and life together. Come join Charlie and Kathy and get ready to laugh.
